We also stopped at Donut City this morning for breakfast and some small prayers at the beach. I had not been here in a while, we had a good morning breakfast. I would come have donuts or bagels here when I lived in Cypress and Los Alimitos. Purchased a couple bagels and donuts for everyone. Coffee is really good here too. Nice spot near the water and all. My go to spot.

Quality of donuts was very good. I especially liked that the apple fritter was the size of normal round donut which makes the outer crust ratio better imo. The couple who served me were very nice. The ambiance is simple/traditional old-school donut shop. Located in a small corner plaza so not many parking spots. Definitely would return when visiting Seal Beach.

I have been craving a donut and talking to my client about donuts yesterday, so while charging my car, I decided to hop into pavilions and see what they had not realizing of the donut shop nearby. I've driven by the shop so many times I never thought much of it. Today, I had a bit of a wait, I figured I'd swing by and check it out. There wasn't much of a selection since I came two hours prior to closing. BUT THEY HAD BLUEBERRY DONUTS. I bought two of the three available +3 donut holes. The lady helping me saw that I was trying to see the menu, so she told me how much everything was. I paid with cash but they do take card. Lucky for me, my blueberry donut craving was resolved with $1.50.

Good donuts and friendly service. Lots of options to choose from. Tasted better than Dunkin' and Krispy Kreme.

The warm ham and cheese croissant is amazing. It's pretty big and filling and I enjoyed it a lot :) I also got a pink donut with sprinkles and it was so light and fluffy.. amazing!!! The man working there is very nice, sweet, and hospitable :) The store itself is very cute and clean. This will be my new go to spot whenever I'm in the area or headed for the beach

Very good donut spot. We got there later in the day when the selection was restricted. First off this place is very dated and for me that's part of its charm. It's small with a handful of tables but appeared clean. We're not from the area so whenever I see a donut spot I get excited. We entered and were greeted by a little, lady lady. As I stated previously, selection wasn't all that great. I asked her "what's good?", she said "all of them!". My wife took an old fashioned which she said was a bit greasy. I took a buttermilk glazed which was fresh, sweet and wonderful.

I don't know why I didn't think to stop by Donut City until today. Well, I'm glad that I did coz I found another donut shop to frequent whenever the craving hits. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by the owners. The store was clean so that's another good sign. Since my only reason for today's visit is to buy donuts, I placed my order for 3 of my faves -- glazed, sugar raised, and blueberry cake. The total came out to $4.10 so prices were comparable to others. Both yeast donuts were soft and pillowy. They tasted fresh and not oily. The blueberry cake delish as well; the fruit flavor wasn't lost in the donut batter. Of the three, the glazed was the best, then sugar, and then blueberry. Their glazed is almost the same as my favorite donut shop in FV. Donut City satisfied my donut craving and gets top stars for flavor, price, customer service, and convenient location. I definitely recommend them to anyone who wants or needs a donut or three. Now I have a local go-to donut place instead of driving to FV just for donuts.

... I really really really wanted a shave ice, but thought ok... lemme get a Slurpee cuz I was in the wrong area for Hula Girls. So, I actually went 1.6 miles out of my way to hit up a 7-11. Out of 6 flavors, 2 were working. I hate cherry and didn't want my mouth to be blue, so I walked out... right into the donut store next door. So, because of that, let me give a shout out to Donut City. The hard working couple that had a rather sad story awhile back where the wife was sick and the husband worked alone for months only to go to her side while she needed his care. I saw her sweeping today, and she looks great, so I just nodded and said "hi". I know they are humble, hard working people from the articles I read, so I had a gut feeling not to bring up the story right now... but now I'm regretting saying "Glad to see you're feeling better"... Shout out: This donut is SUPER FRESH and it's 11 a.m. I always "try" out a plain glazed when I'm at a new shop, cuz if they can do a bomb glazed, then they go down as a mental note as a "good" donut shop. A+ here.
